I'm looking for a good set of basic brushes.  Getting back into the hobby and want to see what some good basic tools are,,,

ab5000,
            that is a tougher question than it seems.  I truthfully do not know if I own what a serious painter would call a "good set of brushes".

I can't buy a brush sight unseen because I need to be sure it has a good pointed tip before I'll buy it.
Normally I get mine at either AC Moore or Franklins- one of the big chain art supply places.

Sometimes they have decent sales. Look at the Windsor & Newtons they are a decent brush.

If anyone has had good luck buying brushes online share your source- I like a good deal as much as anyone.

I buy the Winsor & Newton Cirrus brushes at Michael's Crafts. Excellent high quality brushes that last and hold a point.
