I was watching some stuff this week on WWI and the US Civil War, and I was wondering if any of the WWI battlefields were fought on during WWII? Was any of the action even anywhere near any WWI battlegrounds?

There was quite a bit actually, but not in 1944-45. Most of it took place in the 1940 campaingns. I seem to remember a story about a British Tank unit actullay trying to break a German armored thrust near the Ypre in Belgium, and also a battle taking place around Mons in that same campaign. I haven't read it in many years, but the old Squadron book by Zaloga "Blitzkreig" has some references to battles that took place on or near WW1 battlefields in 1940.
